With travel, buying gifts, and lots of cooking, the Holidays can be full of both stress and excitement. All these things considered, you don’t want your pup to get left in the snow! Here’s how to include your dog in your holiday celebrations, and make it the most wonderful time of the year.

Get them a gift they’ll love

You can’t forget about the fluffiest member of your family during the holidays. You know your dog best, so give them something they’ll adore! You can even make it personal, like homemade treats or a homemade snuffle mat.

Need to treat yourself this season? Get a gift you’ll both love! Matching dog and dog parent outfits are perfect for a photo op, or maybe they need a new toy while you work from home.

Want to keep up with them? Check out Furbo and Furbo Dog Nanny. You can check on your pup from anywhere, and with Furbo Dog Nanny, there’s even more! Get Smart Alerts for continuous barking, crying, running, chewing, and even home emergencies. Plus, get a daily doggie diary that gives you a 60-second recap of what your dog was up to all day.

Keep them exercised

Even when it’s cold outside, it’s important that your dog gets exercise to release stress and feelings of anxiety. When snow is falling, there are a few ways you can let your pup get their energy out!

Play fetch

Even if the landscape is smaller, the game is just as fun for your dog! Find an area of your home that allows for a decent amount of space. A hallway can be a great place to throw your dog’s favorite ball or toy. If you have a staircase, this will tire your dog out even quicker! The best part about fetch is that you can still be cozy with a blanket on the sofa. You can add extra elements for your dog to maneuver around and jump over.

Tug of war

Another classic game. Even if your dog is big or small, this game can get lots of energy out. Have two pups? Let them play with each other to their hearts’ content. You can even get a suction cup tug of war to stick to the floor. While it may be cold outside, your pup will still have a ton of fun indoors!

Give back

If you’re the proud dog parent, the holiday season is always a great time to give back. You can contribute to local shelters and dogs in need in a number of ways. Shelters are always in need, and you can often donate through their website or through a wishlist. Volunteering is another way of giving back to animals in need. Look to your local animal shelters or through the Humane Society to find options that work with your schedule and budget. Giving back is essential to Furbo’s mission, and one Furbo = one rescued dog.
